Story By(TOI):An out-of-luck young Raj Kishore (John Abraham) and his friends Janaki (Arshad Warsi) and Chandu (Pulkit Samrat) bid by gangster Raja (Saurabh Shukla) and wife Bhai (Anil Kapoor) to recover damages. . But it is just a recipe for disaster that brings more destruction.

Review BY(TOI): At one point in the film, Raj, the character of John Abraham, declared, “Not necessarily, everything is in love.” It is perhaps the guiding light for the story, screenplay, dialogues and more that go into Pagalapanti. The problem is not that it is a slap comedy, but rather the fact that there is little or no resemblance to a coherent narrative. From the very first scene, the film is equipped with vigorous action and dialogues, trying to be funny, but far from it. And there are a lot of characters, one sillier than the other. While Anil Kapoor is once again playing the role of a charming gangster with his trademark emphasis, Arshad Warsi is a funny man. John Abraham, despite his goofy character and Pulkit emperor, once again faces attraction. But the three heroines look beautiful and such as “Papa says to be the chief pregnant by kissing jaungi.” Aside from the character cast, Saurabh Shukla is as impressive as the bumbling dacoit which is more funny than scary, the silly lines are short to the mouth. There is a character named Neeraj Modi (Inamulhak) on the fugitive businessman Nirav Modi. His character comes across as a more conservative cliche, with an unrelated Gujarati accent.

Director Anees Bazmi, along with his co-writers, throw everything into the mix. From thrilling car chases to high-octane destruction scenes, from African lions to an entire act involving industrial strength glue – all shot beautifully in picturesque Britain. But nothing sticks, thanks to a weak script. So far a lot of songs have been randomly placed which only adds to the runtime. Finally, it also enters into a patriotic subplot that seems more forced.

Even with a deep starcast and heavy action, Pagalpanti doesn’t really manage to pull more than a few laughs.
